FARGO, North Dakota, July 25 – Four Connecticut wrestlers earned All-American honors at the USA Wrestling Cadet and Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota.
Plymouth’s Cara Broadus earned All-American honors for the sixth time by taking third in Junior Women’s Freestyle at 144 pounds. New Milford’s Joanne Ortiz earned All-American honors for the third time finishing 8th at 106 in Junior Freestyle.
Bristol Eastern’s Trent Thompson earned All-American honors finishing seventh at 100 pounds in Junior Freestyle.
Middletown’s Elijah Cyr (108) earns All-American honors at Junior Greco Roman national championships at Fargo, North Dakota. He went 4-1 in tournament.
