No. 2 North Carolina State improved to 5-0 on the season Thursday night with a 34-6 win over Army at West Point with three nationally-ranked starters from Connecticut in the lineup.

Danbury’s Jakob Camacho (125), Ryan Jack (141) and A.J. Kovacs (165) each wrestled for the Wolfpack. Camacho and Jack won while Kovacs dropped a 4-1 decision in overtime. Camacho, who is ranked No. 3 in the country, earned a 9-1 decision while Jack, who is ranked No. 7, won with an 18-4 technical fall.

North Carolina State won eight of 10 bouts including one by pin, two by tech fall and four via major decisions.

The Wolfpack will remain in the area and compete at the Armbar at the Armory Classic dual meet tournament at the Washington Street Armory in Albany, N.Y. on Friday.

North Carolina State will face Binghamton at 6:30 p.m. and then Sacred Heart at 8:30 p.m. The Pioneers will be facing Presbyterian College at 6:30 p.m. in round one. Virginia, Long Island University, Buffalo, Binghamton and Northern Colorado will also be competing.

There will be four matches going at once in round one and two.

It will be the second-ever meeting between Sacred Heart and NC State. The two teams met in 2015 with the Wolfpack coming away with a 35-13 victory in Troy, N.Y. Sacred Heart has never met Presbyterian on the mat.
