With two individual champions and four finalists, Maloney won the first Central Connecticut Conference girls wrestling tournament on Saturday at Platt in Meriden.
Amarellis Arenas (100) and Gabriella Parris-Dwyer (114) won CCC championships for Maloney with Myalis Dejesus (132) and Kaylee Hernandez (138) each finishing second.
Bristol Central was second in the meet with 71½ points while Platt, with three individual champions, was third with 68 points.
Platt’s defending New England champion Kayli Morris (185) was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler while Olivia Ortiz (152) and Liliana Diaz (126) won individual titles for the Panthers.
Competition at the CCC meet was held in 12 weight classes.
The Southern Connecticut Conference held a girls-only event on Friday at Foran in Milford but it was not an official varsity level event. The league has not yet voted on holding a girls varsity tournament, according to league spokesman Al Carbone. Competition was held in 12 weight classes and it was round robin.
