Norwalk High sophomore Calli Gilchrist took a unique challenge on Sunday wrestling at the Princeton Open against high school, collegiate and open wrestlers.
Gilchrist went 3-2 with one pin and finished fourth in the tournament at 116 pounds, losing to Ainslie Lane of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, 12-2 in the consolation final.
Gilchrist did beat Princeton (N.J.) High student Ava Rose, 10-7 in the consolation semifinals. Rose won the New Jersey state title in March.
