Little change in Connecticut Wrestling Online top 10 state poll

Killingly’s Kaden Ware battles Haddam-Killingworth’s Cameron Hines at 106 earlier this season.

With a few days left in the dual meet portion of the regular season, there was little change in the top 10 of the Connecticut Wrestling Online state poll this week.

Undefeated Danbury (16-0) remains the unanimous choice as the No. 1 team in the state followed by Simsbury (13-1), Fairfield Warde (18-1), Xavier (7-0) and Bristol Eastern (11-1). The Hatters have been ranked No. 1 for the entire season.

The only change in the top 10 team this week was Branford sliding in at No. 10, one vote ahead of Foran. Killingly dropped two spots to No. 12. The only loss this season for Branford (22-1) came at the hands of No. 4 Xavier.

The dual meet portion of the 2019-20 schedule ends on Wednesday. Conference tournaments are scheduled for Saturday across the state.
