Danbury High graduate and three-time All-American Kevin Jack has been hired as the first-ever head wrestling coach at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. IMG, one of the biggest brands in high school sports, announced it would add wrestling as its 11th sport in September.

Jack was a three-time All-American at North Carolina State, finishing as high as third at 141 pounds in 2017. He is the only Connecticut wrestler to have earned multiple All-American honors at the NCAA Division I championships.

Jack finished his NC State career as only the fifth individual to earn All-American honors three times in a career, and he also finished second in school history in career wins (113) when he graduated in 2018.

He earned his undergrad degree in sport management (2018) and then a master’s degree in parks, rec and tourism (2020) from NC State. After his 2018 graduation, he served as the Pack’s Recruiting Coordinator.

For the past four seasons, he has been a member of the coaching staff at North Carolina State under Pat Popolizio where he was the recruiting coordinator and an assistant coach. He was also a graduate assistant coach and a volunteer assistant coach as he worked on his master’s degree in Sports Management.

In Jack’s time on the coaching staff, the Wolfpack won three Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) titles, finished in the top 10 at the NCAA Division I championships three times, produced one NCAA champion and 12 All-Americans

The IMG wrestling team plans to begin competing next fall in 2026.

At Danbury, Jack posted a high school record of 122-11 at Danbury and was a two-time New England champion.

Jack is married to his wife Brittni and they have one child.
