CT wrestlers competing at national championships at Fargo

FARGO, North Dakota, July 15 – Twenty-eight wrestlers from Connecticut will be participating in USA Wrestling’s freestyle and Greco-Roman national championship tournaments over the next week at the FargoDome here in North Dakota. Competition will be held in the Cadet Division (ages 15-16) and Junior Division (high school, ages 15-18).

Among the participants on Team Connecticut are Fairfield’s Timmy Kane (132), who earned All-American honors in Cadet freestyle (third at 126) and Cadet Greco-Roman tournaments (sixth) a year ago, and Newtown’s Anthony Falbo, who earned All-American honors by taking fifth in the Cadet freestyle event. Also wrestling from Connecticut is Plymouth’s Cara Broadus, who earned All-American honors in the women’s cadet freestyle (seventh) and women’s junior freestyle tournament (fifth) last year.
