Four state wrestlers win at least one match at NCAA Division I championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo, March 15, 2003 — Four Connecticut natives wrestling in the NCAA Division I championships each won one match in the tournament this weekend.

Sacred Heart’s Anthony Reynolds (197 pounds, Berlin) and Jason Cucolo (133, Darien) each won a match in the championship bracket but lost twice to be eliminated.

Brown’s Nick Ciarcia (184, Berlin) and Sacred Heart’s Rob Belville (154, New Milford) each won a consolation round bout.

Sacred Heart finished 42nd in the field with six points while Ciarcia was the only wrestler to earn a point for Brown, which finished 66th.
