Two state wrestlers help No. 6 NC State dominate Gardner-Webb

RALEIGH, N.C., Dec. 2, 2021 – No. 6 North Carolina State swept all 10 matches against visiting Gardner-Webb and got two wins from Connecticut wrestlers in a 45 to minus 1 victory on Thursday night. The Wolfpack (2-0) won all 10 bouts and Gardner Webb was penalized one team point for not shaking hands after the 197 pound contest.

No. 5 Jakob Camacho of Danbury started the dual meet with a pin at 125 pounds, ending his match in 2:36. At 141 pounds, No. 18 Ryan Jack of Danbury earned a 5-3 win over Trevon Majette.

The Wolfpack return to action with a meet at Appalachian State on Dec. 12.
